Torre di Pietra - 2005 Carignane - Fredericksburg, TX

Barbara rates this wine 4 out of 5 stars.
Calvin rates this wine 3 out of 5 stars.
Danae rates this wine 1 out of 5 stars.

Boquet: Olives, Prunes and Pine
Sweetness: Fairly dry
Flavor: This wine has a strong mineral taste that reminds us of eating a dill pickle or drinking a dirty martini. We jokingly recommend pairing this wine with salt and vinegar potato chips. In all seriousness, this wine would taste good with spagetti or any tomato based dish.
ABV: 13%

Notes: We visited Torre di Pietra during our vacation in Fredericksburg, TX and we really enjoyed the experience. We enjoyed tasting most of their wines and we ended up buying many bottles so that we could enjoy them later. In the interest of full disclosure, Danae hates olives and this is the main reason for her strong dislike for this wine.
